In 1999, God stirred the hearts of Eric & Nicole Rust to start a church in Nicole’s hometown of Sandpoint. Two years later, they moved to North Idaho with a small team of friends. In the fall of 2001, Cedar Hills Church began meeting for Bible studies in the Rust’s living room, inviting more and more people into the community each week.
Ever since, Cedar Hills has been committed to sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with the people of North Idaho while becoming a community of growing disciples at the same time. Today, Cedar Hills is a strong, multi-generational church, offering four weekly gatherings and 100’s meeting in life groups throughout the week. With a strong focus on families, close to 140 children and students are a part of weekend gatherings.
Recently, our lead pastor Eric Rust shared the story of how and why Cedar Hills began. To hear highlights from the story, grab a drink, click play on the video below, and enjoy!
